Biography
Toronto photographer
Eric Beldowski was born in Lausane Switzerland in 1959, Beldowski's 20
years in photography and movies reflect a passion for painting with light
and time.
Highlights of
his varied background include architectural photography for "Olympia &
York", "The Toronto Office Guide", "Centennial Construction", "Canapress",
reproduction grade copy and studio work for various artists, producer and
D.O.P of rock videos, and videographer of theatre productions.\
He has worked
for 15 Years in the film industry as a production manager, production co-ordinator
and special effects supervisor in Canada, the USA , and Europe, with actors
such as Sidney Poitier, Walter Matthau, Fay Dunaway, and Udo Kier, and
directors such as Adrian Lyne and Delbert Mann. He directed and wrote his
own film "Fanny's Vitex" with the assistance of the Ontario Arts Council.
Television credits include "Road to Avonlea", "Forever Knight" and "Beyond
Reality".
In 1981 he was
awarded two KODAK International Photo Awards Of Merit.
In May 2000
Eric's photos were selected as Best in Show at ARTFOCUS' Spring Artists'
Show at Scotia Plaza in Toronto.
