TORONTO - Artfocus Communications will present the work
of 18 artists to the public @ ART>12 - Artfocus 12th Annual Fall Indoor Artists’
Show @ Metro Hall Rotunda (55 John Street at King Street West) In Toronto, for
four days, October 21 ,22 ,23, 2003. The talented exhibitors have been "scouted"
by ARTFOCUS from the many popular summer "outdoor" shows around Toronto
for this fall "indoor" show & sale of original art. As in previous
years, ART>12 includes a wide spectrum of artists, hailing from across Ontario
& Quebec, originating from the many countries who contribute to the unique multicultural
mix of Canada’s burgeoning art scene. Works will be for sale in media as diverse
as oils and acrylics, encaustics, pastels, mixed media, watercolour, collage, photography,
digital art & printmaking.
Exhibitors include Marlene BULAS (Orillia), Paul BRANDEJS (Toronto),
Gerda CORREIA (Africa), Oscar CASAS ( Toronto), Melanie GORDON
(Toronto ), Eileen KATZ ( Montreal), Kaye KELLY (Ajax), Tanya KIROUAC
(Toronto), Donna KOSTER (Toronto), Rumi LANDERS ( North York),
Valeria MRAVYAN (North York), Linda Ward SELBIE (Toronto), Dragan Sekaric
SHEX (Toronto), Sarah STEELE (Toronto), and Ying ZHOU (Etobicoke).
Returning to Metro Hall from previous years is Vivien Hoyt FLEISHER (Rockwood),
and Japanese-born TOMOLLENON (Toronto) , who was voted by NOW MAGAZINE
as the most popular Toronto artist in 2002.
The Awards to artists will be Juried
by Judi Michelle YOUNG (President,Sculptors Society of Canada), Joshua BURSTON
(Burston Gallery@ Queen Street West ), Judith TENENBAUM (Juten Gallery@ the
Beaches) & Scott STEELE (Brush Gallery@ the new Distillery District).
Join us for Jazz by Alan GAENSBAUER & a Cash Bar at the Gala Opening Party to be held, Wednesday,
October 22, 5 - 8 pm, when the Judges will announce their selection of Best in
Show & Best in each Media for Awards.
A percentage of art sales at ART>12 will be donated to the MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION
OF TORONTO.
ART>12 will be open daily Tuesday, Wednesday , Thursday & Friday with artists
in attendance to meet the public from 10 am. to 5 pm. Admission to the public is
FREE.
