 CityArt Magazine founded in 2004, is the follow-up to ARTFOCUS MAGAZINE
founded in Toronto in 1992 by Pat Fleisher, independent publisher/photoartist.
Fleisher has been active in contemporary art publishing in Toronto since the 70's.
Her past publications include the former ARTMAGAZINE (70's) and ARTPOST
(80's).
ARTMAGAZINE won a USA award for design & she was awarded the Queen's Silver
Jubilee Medal
for her contribution to the Canadian cultural community.
As a photoartist, Fleisher has exhibited her urban cityscapes since the 80's.
Most recently she showed a series of "digital duos" called URBAN NARRATIVES
in
CONTACT 2004, the 8th Toronto Photography Festival held in May 2004 & in ART
CARACAS 2004

CityArt Magazine is now published by Artfocus Communications
in Toronto, Canada.
It will be published three times yearly as an English language magazine dedicated
to presenting an independent Canadian point of view on contemporary visual arts.

 As
a member of Canadian Magazine Publishers Association, CMPA, www.cmpa.ca,
CityArt Magazine is distributed at galleries, newstands &
bookstores across Canada by CMPA & participates in the CMPA promotions organized
by the Department of Heritage, Govt. of Canada.
 Fleisher
is also a founding officer of AICA CANADA, the Canadian Branch of the International
Association of Art Critics founded by UNESCO in Paris.

TORONTO INDOOR ARTISTS'SHOW
founded in l992, is organized by ARTFOCUS COMMUNICATIONS annually in the fall

prominent public buildings in downtown Toronto as a "mini-artfair" &
showcase for visual artists ready to enter the commercial
gallery scene.

ARTFOCUS ONLINE,

was founded in Toronto in April l996.
In May l998 ARTFOCUS ONLINE was selected by Bell Canada to represent the visual
arts in English Canada on the
Canada House Virtual Gallery opened in London, England by Her
majesty, Queen Elizabeth & Canada's then Prime Minister,
Jean Chretien.
In August l998 in appreciation of our many activities to support and encourage artists
in the
community, ARTFOCUS ONLINE was selected for an international "Artlovers Award"
by Shopart, a leading artist's
co-op in Munich, Germany.
Since the year 2000 by December 2004 we have recorded over 112,000 unique "visitors",
with an average of 2,000 "hits" recorded per month.A recent Marketleap
