HISTORY OF THE
ARTFOCUS INDOOR SHOW

The ARTFOCUS Indoor Artist's Show was formerly known as the T.I.A.S. (Toronto Indoor Art Show). Organized & sponsored by ARTFOCUS MAGAZINE since 1992, this annual artist's event is now called the ARTFOCUS ARTIST'S SHOW. With the fall 99 show in THE GALLERIA/ BCE PLACE we celebrate our 8th year of producing this annual popular showcase & sale for visual artists.

The Indoor Show mirrors the informal & popular Toronto Outdoor Show held at Nathan Phillips Square/ Toronto City Hall each summer.

In contrast, the ARTFOCUS Artist's shows are held in prestigious INDOOR downtown Toronto locations which give easy access for artists & public to the downtown business core of Toronto.

Awards are given in all media, supplied by prominent members of the Art Supply industry, to encourage the careers of the artists. Prizewinners are selected by a Jury of active art dealers, artists & curators, giving further exposure to the artists.

The ARTFOCUS Indoor Shows followed the DISCOVERY shows in the 80's organized by ARTPOST MAGAZINE, predecessor to ARTFOCUS.
